Malaysia Jobs for Pakistani Workers

Malaysia recruits Pakistani workers in five government approved sectors: manufacturing, construction, agriculture, plantations and services. Currently the most demand jobs in Malaysia for Pakistani workers are in construction, manufacturing, and hospitality, factory and production operators and site trades, plantation and agricultural labour, and hotel and service roles. Pakistan is an officially approved source country for Malaysian foreign workers, as listed by the Malaysian Immigration Department (imi.gov.my), So this is a set legal path, not informal. As your recruitment agency, we match candidates with these sectors and manage the process on the Pakistani side. You can see current roles on our jobs page.

How IMC recruits for Malaysia

There is a set process for hiring a Pakistani worker in Malaysia, and we manage it as a licensed recruitment agency on behalf of Pakistan. The process is as follows:

1

The Malaysian employer reserves its quota and applies to the Immigration Department for approval and visa issuance.

2

Our recruitment agency sources and screens Pakistani candidates for the role, including trade testing and verification.

3

The application of worker is processed through FWCMS, Malaysia’s central foreign worker management system.

4

The documents are attested and Protector of Emigrants registration  is completed on the Pakistan side.

5

After arriving in Malaysia, the worker undergoes a FOMEMA medical within 30 days.

6

Once a confirmed fit is found, the worker is issued a Visitor Pass (Temporary Employment), a work pass for foreign workers in Malaysia. This is commonly referred to as PLKS.

One point of clarification that is important: Malaysia uses the FOMEMA medical upon arrival, not the Gulf GAMCA or Wafid screening. Medical institutions are different, and Malaysia has its own way. The VP(TE) is valid for 12 months and is renewable every year, subject to policy limits on total employment.

For Malaysian employers

If you are a Malaysian company hiring Pakistani workers, our recruitment agency handles half of the source country process for you: sourcing candidates that match your sector and role, screening and commercial vetting them, and managing their documentation and immigration clearance so they are ready for the issuance of FOMEMA medical and VP (TE).

Frequently asked questions

How can I get a job in Malaysia from Pakistan?

Apply through a BEOE licensed recruitment agency. According to the Malaysian Immigration Department, Pakistan is an approved source country for Malaysian foreign workers, so the route is legal and defined: the employer applies for approval and visa referral, and the agency handles the deployment to Pakistan.

Malaysian government charges are set by the Immigration Department and are usually paid by the employer, not the worker. A licensed agency’s own service charge is separate, regulated, and always charged. We confirm the full breakdown of your case.

18 to 45 years old at the time of application, according to the Malaysian Immigration Department (imi.gov.my). This applies to the Visitor Pass, a work pass used by foreign workers in approved sectors in Malaysia.

This is subject to quota approval, employer application, and document preparation. FOMEMA medical is done within 30 days of arrival in Malaysia, and the VP(TE) work pass is issued after the worker is confirmed fit. We give a realistic timeline for each case.
